Built in speaker: If your computer doesn't have speakers, now you have a speaker you can turn on or off. This allows you to hear incoming calls from your computer call software, listen to audio without the headset on, or it's a good way for supervisors to listen in on calls.
Sidetone: Most headets require an app for you to download to adjust sidetone. If you can't download software on your work computer, you're in luck because the D722U allows you to turn on or off sidetone by holding the mute button for 3 seconds, no software required.
