About this item

  • PROFESSIONAL SOUND. The Yealink BH76 includes 5 microphones for all the audio you’ll need. You get professional sound for your important voice and video calls, and you get the highest level of noise reduction so your callers hear you, and not the sounds going on around you.
  • KEEP YOUR FOCUS. The Yealink BH76 keeps you focused, and not distracted by your background sounds. That’s because it comes with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), to help tame the unruly noise going on around you. When it gets noisy, just turn on the ANC, and you’ll hear noise fade away.
  • TALK UNTIL THE COWS COME HOME. Literally, you can talk all day, and all night because the BH76 comes with a battery that gives you up to 40 hours of battery power. So rather than having to recharge your headset every day, like some other headsets require, you may only need to recharge once a week.
  • RECHARGE YOUR WAY. You have a couple of ways to recharge the battery in the BH76 wireless headset. You can plug it into the USB cable for recharging, or you can purchase the optional wireless charger for even more convenience. The wireless charger can also be used to recharge your Smartphone.
  • RETRACTABLE MICROPHONE BOOM. The microphone boom on the Yealink BH76 disappears whenever you like. It retracts when it’s not needed, giving you two headsets in one; an all-business headset, and a slick pair of casual listening headphones. Retracting also activates muting and call answering.

Description

We all need a headset for the different ways, and places we work. Whether that's in the office, at home, or on the go, flexible headsets, like the Yealink BH76 keeps us connected where we are, and to the devices we're using.

If you'd like to watch a video that provides an overview of the Yealink BH76, which includes a microphone sound quality, and noise reduction test, make sure to check it out below.

What's in the BH76 box

When you order a Yealiink  BH76 Bluetooth wireless headset, you get the components shown below. Keep in mind if you want the headset stand with integrated wireless charger, that's an option, so make sure to order that configuration if that's what you're interested in.

  • Yealink BH76 Plus Headset with Oversized Ear Cushions
  • Soft protective case
  • USB-C or USB-A USB bluetooth adapter (depending which version you order)
  • USB-C Cable

A microphone that's retractable

If you're someone who finds that headset microphones can sometimes get in the way, then you'll be happy to know that the microphone boom on the Yealink BH76 is retractable. When you need to access the microphone for your business calls, pull it out. But, when you're taking a break from business, and listening to some of your favorite music, push it in, and it disappears out of sight.

Muting made simple

Every now and then you need to mute the microphone. This can be to have a quick side conversation, take a sip of coffee, or to momentarily silence some sound going on around you.

The good news is you can mute the microphone on the Yealink BH76 very easily. In fact, you have a couple of ways to do that.

First, you can mute the microphone in the traditional way, which is to press the mute button on the headset.  But you also have another, more convenient way to mute the microphone.

Simply press in on the microphone boom and it slides out of sight.  Grab it, and pull, and it returns to the usable position, and unmutes the microphone.

When you're not on a call, but are receiving one, all you need to do to answer the call is pull out the microphone, and you're on the call. While on the call, push the microphone boom arm inwards to mute the call.

Oversized Earcushions

The Yealink BH76 plus has oversized ear cushions that fully enclose your ears to provide the highest levels of noise protection for your ears. This way you can stay focused on your work and not all the office chatter.

In addition to the soft ear cushions the BH76 Plus also has active noise cancellation (ANC) to provide even more hearing protection.

Ear speaker sound quality

The ear speakers on the Yealink BH76 are sufficient enough for phone calls and you can use it to listen to music.

The headset comes with 35 mm speakers driven by professional Ole Wolff diaphragm and adopted Hi-Fi level audio codec aptX.

The BH76 keeps noise in its place - off your calls

When you use a headset, you need it to provide you with professiional sound for your important voice and video calls. An important piece of sound quality is of course giving your voice a clear consistent sound. But, there's another element to voice audio quality, and that's how well the headset microphone filters out distracting background noise.

You'll be pleased to know that Yealink excels at noise removal. So if you're strugglling to find a headset that dampens the noise of dogs barking, babies crying, coworkers talking or all the other sounds we all deal with, you've come to the right place.

The Yealink BH76 is a professional grade headset, with professional grade sound, and that includes exceptional noise reduction. Yealink excels at keeping noise in its place; off your calls with their patented Acoustic Shield Technology.

What about the noise you hear?

Acoustic Shield is designed to remove noise so your callers have a higher quality, noise free calling experience. But what about the noise you hear? Can that be distracting to you, and cause you to lose your focus and concentration? Lower your work productivity?

The simple answer to those questions are a resoundiing yes. So what can you do to fight that noise and take back your concentration?

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is the answer. This is a standard feature on the Yealink  BH76 Bluetooth wireless headset that works to block out noise so you don't get distracted by it.

Take control of the noise

The beauty of Active Noise Cancellation is it puts you in control over the noise going on around you. When the noise level starts to rise, all you need to do is turn on the ANC feature, and you'll instantly hear the sound fade away.

If the noise level increases even more, dial up the ANC to a higher level and continue what you were doing, interruption free.

If you've never had a headset with ANC, and noise is something that frustrates you, you owe it to yourself to check it out because it's one of the best features on headsets today. ANC is one of those features that once you use it, you won't want a headset without it.

A battery that goes the distance

The Yealink BH76 is a wireless headset that uses a rechargeable battery. So it stands to reason that knowing something about its battery would make sense.

The first thing is how much talk and listening time you get along with how much time is needed to recharge the battery.

The battery in the BH76 will allow you to talk all day, all night and into several more of them. Most people would probably need a recharge once a week rather than once a day like some other headsets. So if you don't charge it every day, no worries because you won't arrive to work the next day facing a dead battery and no headset.

Recharging - 2 ways to a fully charged battery

When the time comes that you do need to recharge the battery in the Yealink BH76, you can do that two ways;

  1. By connecting the headset to the included USB cable for recharging
  2. Or, by placing the headset onto the optional wireless charger

As an added bonus, you can also use the wireless charger to recharge your Smartphone

Average but physical mute operation is a big win

Noise canceling, sound quality, mic quality, and microphone noise reduction are all average. Unit is priced accordingly - you are unlikely to find better performance for the price anywhere. The mic can be pushed in and pulled out, which serves as a physical mute function which is this product’s best feature. Mic noise reduction is probably exaggerated in the advertising as it doesn’t appear to eliminate moderate wind noise but is apparently good at removing ambient conversations. I tried it with a moderate nearby motor noise (eg a kitchen exhaust fan) and it did a good job of removing it.

We'd say that's a very fair assessment so thanks for your review and sharing your feedback! This is Yealinks first go at headsets so we'd imagine it will only get better from here.

Decent headphones, not what I expected considering the high price tag

Overall, these headphones are nice, but does not satisfy the high price tag paid in my opinion.

    Pros:
    - High quality materials
    - Comfortable on-ear pads
    - Relatively lightweight
    - Seems durable (only had for a few weeks at this point)
    - Good quality sound when not disrupted (see cons)
    - Holds charge well

    Cons:
    - When connected to computer and phone, audio is constantly interrupted with notification sounds from the secondary device to the point where the audio completely cuts off for a 3-5 second time period. This is a significant issue when on meetings all day.
    - Intermittent issues with connecting audio upon startup. Some features do not work as expected until the headphones are power cycled or disconnected and reconnected. Again, a serious issue that has caused many problems with work meetings.

Hi Thomas, thank you for your feedback. We'll share your feedback with Yealink for future improvement considerations.
