Before choosing a Yealink compatible headset, you need to determine if you want a wired or wireless model.
Now that Yealink has released their own line of headsets, you'll get easy to use, high quality, cost effective and play solutions to choose from.
In the past, if you ordered a Jabra or Poly (Plantronics) wireless headset, you were required to also purchase an additional adapter called an EHS cable or Lifter. However, with a Yealink wireless headset, this accessory is no longer needed, offering more convenience.
With any other headset brands aside from Yealink, to answer/end calls away from your desk, you'll need the added EHS cable or Handset Lifter.
Over the years this has created a lot of frustration for customers wanting a compatible wireless headset for their Yealink phones to answer/end calls away from the phone.
Since Yealink has released their own high-quality headsets, there’s no need for the extra accessory when pairing them with Yealink desk phones. Out of the box, you will get the ability to answer/end calls from the headset when away from the phone.
If you still prefer a Poly (Plantronics), Discover or Jabra wireless headset then the additional EHS36 or EHS40 adapter would be required.

Would you prefer a compatible Yealink wired headset?
If you're looking for a compatible wired Yealink headset, we've listed some great options below that work seamlessly with your desk phone.
If you like the idea of being hands free to be more productive, and save your neck and back, then a wired headset isn't well worth the investment. Sometimes wireless isn't in the budget, and that's okay.
In the past, you would have to buy the headset + a compatible cable together. This created a lot of confusion on which cord to purchase with the headset, or the information online didn't clearly say the headset needed an additional cable.
So, as you can imagine, that could cause a frustrating experience.
The good news is with the newer Yealink desk phones, they have USB compatible headset ports.
The same Yealink desk phones mentioned earlier are also compatible with the wired Yealink headset options listed below.

Yealink headset compatibility with older generation Yealink desk phones
The Yealink wired and wireless headsets mentioned above aren't compatible with the models below. We'll share more information to which compatible headsets you'll want to consider for either of these phones.
- T40G, T41P, T42G, T46G, T48G, T23G, T19P, T21P, T29G
When selecting a wired headset, you'll need the headset + compatible cable.
For a wireless headset, if you want the ability to answer/end calls away from your phone with the headset, you'll need an accessory called a Handset Lifter in order to enable this feature.
Otherwise, if you don't have this accessory and you're in the other room with an incoming call, you'll need to run back to the phone to answer the call.
Most customers that order a wireless headset end up contacting us shortly after their order arrives to order the accessory.
So, save yourself some time and order the accessory to go with whichever wireless headset you choose.
Wired headsets
Depending on the wearing style you like best will determine which model you want to select. Each model below will be a high quality, cost effective and compatible headset choice to consider.
#1 Discover D711 + D104
Single speaker, over-the-head with a speaker that rests on your ear.
#2 Discover D712 + D104
Dual speaker, over-the-head with dual speakers that rest on your ears.
#3 Discover D722 + D104
Dual speaker, over-the-head with dual speakers that full enclose your ears. Ideal for louder working environments, those with hearing aid or for those that prefer headphones to rest over the ears, rather that on the ears.
#4 Discover D713 + D104
Single speaker, worn on-the-ear and nothing goes over the head. This is best for users who like something a bit more sleek that doesn't rest over the head.
Wireless Headsets
In case you're skimming through this article and missed what I said earlier, I'll say it again. Either wireless headset you choose below, you'll need an additional accessory to go with your order.
ONLY IF you want the ability to answer/end calls away from the phone with your headset when in another room.
WITHOUT the additional accessory, if there's an incoming call you'll have to run back to the phone to answer the call. If you're okay with that then you won't need the additional Handset Lifter accessory.
#1 Discover Adapt 30 + DHL110
Best for those of you who like the idea of having one wireless headset that can switch between a single and dual speaker wearing style. You'll be able to connect with the Yealink phones mentioned above as well + your computer for anything relating to video calls or personal use.
#3 Discover D904 + DHL110
The Discover D904 is a best value and flexible wireless headset. Meaning, you'll be able to connect with both your Yealink phone + computer, and included is two batteries for unlimited battery talk time. One battery charges at all times, so when one runs low, you easily swap in the battery with a full charge.
The D904 is perfect for those who are heavy phone users and want peace of mind to know they will never worry being without their headset because of a battery needing to recharge.
Also, included is your choice of a headband and 3 ear hooks. So, whoever gets the D904 will be able to customize the fit best for them.

I have a yearlink T485 or S. At work. I have a hearing aid in my left ear and a cochlier implant on my right ear. I would like to go ireless, what would you recommend?
I also have a planatronics head set, i tried hooking up too my yearlink, however it tells me to check phone cord, would an adapter fix the issue?
