Every once in a while, a product comes along that causes you to pause and take notice. Recently, EPOS, the manufacturer of communication headsets worldwide, released a new product that caught our attention.
The EPOS Adapt E1 wireless earbuds
Earbuds have been around for a long time, and for many, they’re the go-to product for listening to music, podcasts or videos. But in most cases, earbuds come up short when it comes to using them for important business calls. This is due to their limited battery life, and less than ideal audio performance.
The EPOS Adapt E1 has helped to change all that by providing earbuds that play well in both areas; casual listening and business venues.
To learn more about these new earbuds, you can read through this blog post, or feel free to watch our review video. The video not only discusses the features and benefits of the EPOS Adapt E1, but you’ll also see and hear Drew run the earbuds through a variety of microphone noise tests. Check it out, because I think you’ll find it to be very informative.

EPOS Adapt E1 Battery Details

Sound Quality
A lot of people are fine using earbuds on business calls. I’ve never been one of those people simply due to the questionable call quality and the battery life. However, the EPOS Adapt E1 could cause me to change my mind simply due to both issues being addressed with this product.
In our microphone tests, which you can see by watching our review video, the E1 microphone performed very well when it was challenged by a wide assortment of noises such as traffic noise, coffee shop sounds, babies crying, sounds while driving and even how you’ll sound if you’re in your car while going through a car wash. A bit extreme perhaps, but all these tests are designed to give you a sense of its microphone performance under different conditions. That said, the Adapt E1 did a very good job at noise reduction which was honestly a bit unexpected. Most earbuds fail miserably when tested against distracting noises.
The voice audio remained solid while background noise was all but fully eliminated. So if the EPOS Adapt E1 earbuds are on your radar, and suppressing unwanted background noise is a focal point, then rest assured that these earbuds are up for the challenge.
As for the speaker audio, it too performed honorably. The call quality was crisp and solid as were the mids and low end audio when listening to music. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not showering praise to the extent of full on studio grade audio, but keeping in mind that these are commercially available earbuds designed for the masses, I have to give credit where credit is due. They did a nice job overall. So if you’re someone who’s looking for earbuds for your business calls, because you don’t like wearing headphones, but you have sensitivities to sound quality, and noise reduction, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with how the EPOS Adapt E1 earbuds perform.

Bottom Line
The true takeaway here is the EPOS Adapt E1 earbuds are one of the few earbuds available today that are equally well suited for use in a business or casual environment. It helps to overcome the challenges faced by other, lesser earbuds by ramping up the audio quality while at the same time overcoming the shortcomings of insufficient battery strength.
The EPOS Adapt E1 provides sidetone that’s adjustable which is something you won’t find on most other earbuds. You’ll have the flexibility to wear both earbuds, or just one which gives you more use options. The Adapt E1 features buttons for easy reference which adds to its appeal, and the four different sizes of ear tips allow you to find the fit that’s right for you.
