Yealink HA Series Headsets: HA64 Pro & HA68 Pro

The Yealink HA Series is our top pick for a wireless office headset. Both models put DECT and Bluetooth in the headset itself, so one headset handles your computer, desk phone and mobile phone, in the office and away from it. Both come with a 3.5-inch color touchscreen base, rated up to 606 feet of DECT range. The HA64 Pro comes in mono or stereo. The HA68 Pro adds hybrid active noise cancellation, a 6-microphone array and larger memory-foam ear cushions.

We've reviewed both HA models on video, including a DECT vs Bluetooth range test on a football field.

Which Yealink HA headset is right for you?

HA64 Pro or HA68 Pro?

Both models have DECT and Bluetooth in the headset, a 3.5-inch touchscreen base and up to 606 feet of DECT range. The HA68 Pro adds two things. Hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) reduces the noise you hear, and larger, softer memory-foam ear cushions make long call days more comfortable. The HA64 Pro comes in mono (one ear) or stereo (two ears), and the mono weighs just 92 grams. The HA68 Pro is stereo only, at 155 grams.

As our HA68 Pro review puts it, ask yourself two questions: how much is it worth to reduce the background noise around you, and how much is a softer fit worth if you wear a headset for hours? If you work in a quiet office or at home, the HA64 Pro is our best-value DECT and Bluetooth headset. If you are on calls all day in a busy or open office, step up to the HA68 Pro.

One headset for your computer, desk phone and mobile

The base connects to your computer and to your desk phone with the included USB cable, and stays connected to both. Your mobile phone pairs with the headset over Bluetooth. Take a Teams meeting on your computer, answer the desk phone, then take a mobile call, all on the same headset.

Bluetooth in the headset, not the base

Most DECT headsets with Bluetooth put it in the base, so your mobile calls only work near your desk. The HA Series puts Bluetooth in the headset. Use DECT in the office for the most range, then leave the base behind and keep using the headset with your mobile phone, at home or on the go.

A touchscreen base: no software to install

From the 3.5-inch color touchscreen you can manage calls, switch devices, adjust the volume and change settings without installing software on your computer. That matters if your company restricts software downloads: employees get the controls, and IT keeps control of what is installed.

How far can you roam?

Yealink rates both models at up to 606 feet of DECT range from the base, and up to 164 feet on Bluetooth. These are open-space ratings; in an office with walls, a safe estimate is about half. For a laptop away from the base, add the WDD60 DECT USB adapter. See the difference in our HA64 Pro range test, DECT vs Bluetooth.

How much noise is around you?

Two features deal with noise. A noise-cancelling microphone reduces the noise your callers hear: the HA64 Pro has 3 microphones with Yealink Acoustic Shield 2.0, and the HA68 Pro has 6, with a 4-microphone array for Acoustic Shield 3.0. Active noise cancellation reduces the noise you hear, and only the HA68 Pro has it. In our HA64 Pro review, Acoustic Shield delivered excellent noise reduction.

Will it work with my desk phone?

Yealink IP phones and most Poly IP phones connect to the base with the included USB cable, with call control from the headset. Other IP phones, such as Avaya, Mitel, Unify, Snom and Cisco models, connect with the Yealink telephone cable 3311093, sold separately, and some phone models also need the EHS62 adapter to answer calls away from your desk. Teams, Zoom and other apps

Each model comes in one version. The HA64 Pro is certified for Microsoft Teams and Zoom: choose Teams mode or UC mode on the touchscreen, and the headset has a Teams button. The HA68 Pro meets the Microsoft Teams Open Office requirements. Both work with Zoom, RingCentral and other softphones on your computer; check your app in our Yealink compatibility guide.

Battery life

Yealink rates the HA68 Pro and the stereo HA64 Pro at up to 16 hours of talk time on DECT and 32 hours on Bluetooth. The mono HA64 Pro is rated at 14 and 26 hours. Charging takes about 1.5 hours, and the headset charges whenever it sits on the base.

New or refurbished

The HA64 Pro also comes refurbished, in mono and stereo, for a lower price. Choose New or Refurbished on the product page.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the Yealink HA64 Pro and HA68 Pro?

Both have DECT and Bluetooth in the headset, a 3.5-inch color touchscreen base and up to 606 feet of DECT range. The HA68 Pro adds hybrid active noise cancellation, a 6-microphone array with Acoustic Shield 3.0 and larger memory-foam ear cushions, and it comes in stereo only. The HA64 Pro comes in mono or stereo, with 3 microphones and Acoustic Shield 2.0. Read our HA68 Pro review.

Do the HA64 Pro and HA68 Pro have Bluetooth in the headset?

Yes. Bluetooth is built into the headset, not the base, so you can leave the base behind and keep using the headset with your mobile phone, in or out of the office. In the office, DECT connects the headset to the base for your computer and desk phone.

How far can I go from the base?

Yealink rates both models at up to 606 feet of DECT range and up to 164 feet on Bluetooth. These are open-space ratings. In an office with walls, a safe estimate is about half the rated range.

Will an HA headset work with my desk phone?

Yealink IP phones and most Poly IP phones connect to the base with the included USB cable, with call control from the headset. Other desk phones need the Yealink telephone cable 3311093, sold separately, and some also need the EHS62 adapter to answer calls away from your desk. Send us your phone model and we'll confirm before you order: Talk to an Advisor.

Is there a Microsoft Teams version?

Each model comes in one version. The HA64 Pro is certified for Microsoft Teams and Zoom: select Teams mode on the touchscreen for Teams call control, or UC mode for other apps. The HA68 Pro meets the Microsoft Teams Open Office requirements.

Do I need to install software to change the settings?

No. The 3.5-inch touchscreen gives you call, audio and device controls, volume and the main settings right on your desk, which helps if your company restricts software downloads.

How long does the battery last?

Yealink rates the HA68 Pro and the stereo HA64 Pro at up to 16 hours of DECT talk time and 32 hours on Bluetooth, and the mono HA64 Pro at 14 and 26 hours. A full charge takes about 1.5 hours.

What replaced the Yealink WH66?

We recommend the HA64 Pro in place of the single-ear WH66 and the HA68 Pro in place of the WH66 Dual. Both add Bluetooth in the headset for your mobile phone and connect to 3 devices at once. Read our WH66 vs HA64 Pro comparison.

Can I lease HA headsets for my team?

Yes. The HA64 Pro is available from $4 a month per user with our Managed Headset Program, which also covers failures, worn ear cushions, batteries and employee turnover. For outright purchases, request a team quote.
