Everybody and their mother, father, cousin, nephew, niece, grandfather, Grandmother, 2nd cousin, all the way down to their long lost twin they never knew they had all shop on Amazon. And, for a lot of good reasons.
- It’s a convenient way to shop
- They have practically every product under the sun
- They making buying a simple process
- Shipping is fast
- Returns are easy
What’s not to like about all that, right? If you don’t mind, I’d like to throw a wrench into the works here, albeit a small wrench as to not curtail too much of all that Amazon enthusiasm.
In this blog, I’m going to pose a thought about why it’s in your best interest to make your office headset or computer headset purchases directly from the Headset Advisor website, and NOT from Amazon.
Bold?
Perhaps, but peppered throughout my claims are undeniable truths that you should not only be aware of, but take advantage of.
With that as my backdrop, I’d like to get started to persuade, convince, sway, or otherwise start you thinking differently about what happens after you make that Amazon headset purchase.
But, before I do, I did want to let you know that I recorded a Youtube video on this very subject. Many people like to watch video content rather than reading it.
If you’re one of those people, then check out the video below to learn more about why buying directly from Headset Advisor beats the pants off of buying from the big dog on the block, Amazon.
Ok, so what’s the deal you ask?
That’d be an appropriate question to ask considering there are numerous deals on the Amazon platform you can take advantage of. But, the truth is, the best price isn’t always your best deal.
What about the notion of best value? There are those who place stock in getting the best value while others are sniping for the lowest, and best price to be found anywhere on this glorious planet, which by the way will likely be found on Amazon.
I started out this blog by saying that buying headsets from the Headset Advisor website is better than buying from Amazon. I said it, and I’m sticking to it. Here’s some food for thought.
When you buy a product at the lowest price, do you always get the best value to go along with that purchase?
By best value, I mean things like prompt delivery, easily accessible, skilled customer service, free and quick technical support if needed, friendly, helpful staff to work with, easy return process and more. The simple answer to this question is no.
Yes, there are cases where this happens; you get the lowest price and all those great things to go along with that purchase. But I’m not referring to the exception, I’m referring to the rule, and the rule is the two don’t typically go hand in hand. If you get the lowest price, you have to sacrifice something in order to get that price. In many cases, it’s service, though it could be quality or other things.
Does this mean that whenever you pay a higher price, you always get all these value items automatically? Absolutely not.
Companies are all individual, and the degree to which they’re committed to service and making the customer experience the best it can be, varies greatly, no matter how much you pay for an item.
If we put aside generalities and narrow our focus to office headsets and computer headsets, is it possible to have the best of both worlds; best price and all the quality services and experiences to go along with it? Though the exception to the rule, it can happen.
Take my company for example, Headset Advisor. We’ve been providing wired and wireless headsets for office professionals since 1994. We have a wide range of headsets and our prices are fair and reasonable.
There are times when our prices are less than what you’ll find on Amazon, and other times not. But one thing that remains constant is our aim to provide the best customer experience.
For example, whether you pay the lowest price or the highest, you’re not guaranteed you’ll be getting these things that come standard with any headset you purchase from us::
- Free shipping
- Free 60 day returns
- Free product return shipping
- 110% money back guarantee
- Personal, one-on-one headset setup assistance
- Free lifetime product support (troubleshooting etc)
- Headset rental option
- Trade in cash or credit for old headsets
It’s not inconceivable that you can get the lowest price and a couple of the items off of this list, but you’ll not get them all unless you purchase your office headsets from us.
If you ponder for a moment the benefits of having all these services included in your headset purchase, you’ll quickly see how this can be beneficial to you and your team.
-No longer will you pay for shipping to receive your headsets.
-No longer will you be limited to a 30 day return
-No longer will you have to pay to return a headset
-No longer will your headset purchase be a risk
-No longer will you need to struggle to get your headsets setup and working properly
-No longer will you be frustrated with troubleshooting headset issues
-No longer will your headset budget be strained because you’ll have options
-No longer will you need to throw away your old headsets, because you’ll get cash or credit instead. And, your headsets won’t end up in the landfill.
If any of this is resonating with you, then you’re likely a person who appreciates value rather than just a low price.
Without question there are clearly two paths here:
- The path where the person who wants to buy the best product at the lowest price and forego any post sale services in exchange for receiving that low price. This approach can work for a number of people.
In particular, those who are tech savvy and really don’t need, nor want the setup assistance or ongoing troubleshooting help. The 110% guarantee won’t resonate here either because this type of individual knows exactly what they want which means they won’t be returning anything, or at least very few things.
If this is starting to sound like you, then buying products from Amazon is probably your best place to do business. - The other path is the person who isn’t overly focused on getting the cheapest price. Yes, the price does matter to this person, but not to the extent that it’s the number one buying criteria.
This person isn’t overly tech savvy, or maybe just doesn’t want to contend with the hassles associated with setting everything up, testing headsets, adjusting them. and where needed, troubleshooting them.
This person might have an IT team, but prefers not to consume their valuable time with low value activities like dealing with headsets. This person sees value in the many included services.
If this sounds like you, then you’re a value buyer and would likely appreciate the value of all the things that come with buying from Headset Advisor.
Conclusion
We all have choices as to where we buy our office headsets or computer headsets. If you just want a low price and not much more, then Amazon is a great place to shop because you’re not going to get much in the way of post sale services.
If you’re looking for a price that’s fair and reasonable, but you also want some services to make sure things get set up correctly and are working well at all times, then you’ll want to check out Headset Advisor.
