The microphone boom arm is flexible, so you can bend it so it's positioned correctly to the side of your mouth. The microphone boom arm can also be placed on your right, or left side, whichever you prefer. Many headsets limit the boom placement to one side only.
Three Ways To Mute
To mute the microphone, you have three ways to do this:
- You can press the mute button on the inline controller
- You can raise the microphone boom arm
- Or, you can remove the headset where the proximity sensors will mute automatically.
If you begin speaking when the microphone is muted, the LED on the tip of the microphone boom arm will begin to flash. This is to alert you that your microphone is muted.
