Comfort
The Bose 700 UC wireless headphones weigh .56lbs which is about twice as heavy as an iPhone, for comparison sake. It feels a bit heavy but overall doesn't feel as heavy as some other headsets that we've tested before.
There is a silicon material cushion at the top of the headband that is comfortable and helps keep it sanitary as it is easy to clean. Having this silicon and squishy headband makes it feel as though there isn't a .5lbs headset resting on the top of your head.
These noise cancelling headphones have oversize ear cushions that fully cover your ears so it does a great job of blocking out ambient noise around you without putting pressure directly onto your ears.
Adjustable ear cushions allow the headset to conform to many different shapes and sizes of heads. What's unique about the Bose 700 UC design is that the whole ear cup with the speaker moves up and down rather than just the headband which I've never seen before on a headset.
The ear cups are labeled right and left so there is only one proper way to wear the headset but I found it very easy to adjust the headset to the shape of my head to find the proper fit.
After using this headset for over a few weeks this is my final thought. Overall I'd say this headset is comfortable for a headset that has this type of sound quality and noise cancelling.
That being said, I find that the shape of the headband puts extra pressure on my head making it not comfortable for all-day use, some days I feel like it gave me a headache. All headsets take a while for you to become used to it but with this Bose, I haven't found it to be true as of yet.
Sound Quality
Noise Cancelling Microphone
The Bose 700 UC has 8 total microphones built into it, they use 6 for active noise cancelling and 4 for noise cancelling microphone (2 are shared between the two features). To hear what the sound quality sounds like on the headset and how much background noise it removes fast forward to 10:14 on the YouTube video above.
Stereo Audio Quality
This Bose 700 UC headset has dual speakers and produces amazing audio quality especially for music and other high-quality audio content. Professional-grade headsets, you typically don't get as rich and as much bass as you do with this Bose headset.
When compared to other brands of headsets, the Bose delivers superior sound quality, bass, and clarity, making it one of the top choices for those seeking a high-performance Bluetooth phone headset.
Active Noise Cancelling Headphones (ANC)
The Bose 700 UC noise-cancelling headphones come with the option to adjust 3 different levels of active noise cancelling, which is a useful feature for anyone searching for the best Bluetooth headset for phone calls. Press the button for none, medium, or high levels of active noise cancelling.
Typically this feature is for when you want to focus on your calls and if there is a lot of noise around you. If you are working in a coffee shop or at an airport you can turn the feature on and feel as if you were in a quite isolated room. It's a good feature and Bose does a great job with it utilizing 8 microphones to make it as good as possible.
What is ANC (active noise cancelling)?
It is a feature on the headset that is using the microphone hardware built into the headset to electronically remove unwanted background noise. When you wear the headset and turn the ANC level to max you'll find that you feel like you're more isolated and can hear your music, phone calls, or just more silence.
Connectivity
The Bose 700 UC is a Bluetooth wireless headset that comes included with a USB-A Dongle that connects to Windows computers. You can connect to both mobile phone and your computer through the USB dongle.
While both are connected you can take phone calls or listen to music on either device which is up to you.
When using the headset through the USB dongle you will have access to more optimized functionality for Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams as well as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
You can also connect to devices that have a 3.5mm plug such as mobile phones, laptops, and etc.
Battery Life
The battery is rated up to 20 hours of continuous talk time which will give you the ability to use it all day long working or just for listening to music for as long as you want.
It has a battery recharge time of 2.5 hours considering the size of the battery is longer than most that is pretty quick. Also if you are in a pinch and need to use the headset quickly because it died on you it has a quick recharge rate of 3.5 hours of talk-time when charging the headset for only 15 minutes which is convenient.
To charge the headset it uses a USB-C to USB-A cable.
Wireless Range
Wireless range is always my biggest complaint when it comes to Bluetooth wireless headsets such as this Bose 700 UC. Bose rates this headset for a max range of 30 feet when connected via USB dongle, giving it excellent range for a reliable Bluetooth phone headset in a variety of environments.
Some Bluetooth headsets have further range than the Bose but overall most of them will give you 10-30feet max wireless range.
Once the Bose headset starts getting out of range you will start hearing the audio start chopping in and out.
If the distance is an issue for you but you still need your headset to connect to a computer, you may want to consider a DECT USB wireless headset such as the Poly 8220 UC headset here:
Design
The design of the Bose 700 UC wireless headset has that sleek new technology feel. The stainless steel body makes me think of Apple products like iPhone, iPad, or Mac computers.
The fit and finish just seems very well designed, I like how they used this silicon material for the headband cushion at the top of the headset as it looks better than the leather or cloth options and likely will last longer and you can clean it easily.
The design of the ear cushions and adjustable headband is like nothing I've seen before as usually most headset manufacturers have the headband that adjusts up/down where Bose built this headset for the whole speaker to slide up the headband in a unique way.
The touch screen on the stainless steel body is a creative way to get more controls onto the headset without having more buttons which they did a good job with. On the right side of the headset you can adjust the volume up or down by swiping up or down where the Bose logo is or tap the logo to answer or end the call.
Price
This premium-priced headset offers a wide range of features, exceptional design, and arguably the best sound quality for a top-rated Bluetooth phone headset.

Who is this made for?
The Bose 700 UC is made for professional workers who work from home, work from their laptop on the road, or work in a noisy office but are using a phone on their cell phone or computer.
More than just the above type of person it's made for those that like really good sound quality (referred to as audiophiles) or people who gets distracted with noise and need to focus on their work, phone calls, or zoom meetings.
